This Privacy Policy describes how Soundview Partners ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit sunshinecanyonretreat.com (the "Site") or book a stay at Sunshine Canyon Retreat, located at 6186 Sunshine Canyon Drive, Boulder, CO 80302 (the "Property").

We care about your privacy. We only collect information needed to provide the booking, payment, and guest services you request, and we do not sell your personal information.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide directly

When you book a stay, submit a question, or otherwise interact with the Site, we may collect:

• Contact information: first name, last name, email address, and phone number.
• Booking details: check-in and check-out dates, guest count, and any add-ons you select (such as early check-in, airport shuttle, or stocked fridge).
• Payment information: your card details are collected and processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not store your full card number on our servers. Stripe provides us a token and a limited identifier (such as the last 4 digits of the card and card brand) for reference and dispute handling.
• Communications: any messages you send us through email, text, or the Site's booking form.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we (or our service providers) may automatically collect:

• IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system.
• Pages viewed, referral source, and general engagement metrics.
• A limited number of cookies and similar technologies used for basic site functionality and analytics.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Process and confirm your booking, including charging the deposit and remaining balance.
• Send booking confirmations, check-in instructions, and receipts.
• Respond to questions, support requests, and guest communications.
• Comply with legal obligations, including tax reporting and Boulder short-term rental requirements.
• Detect and prevent fraud, platform abuse, and payment chargebacks.
• Improve the Site and our guest services.

3. How we share your information

We share personal information only with the following categories of recipients, and only as needed:

Service providers

• Stripe — to process card payments. Stripe handles card data under PCI DSS and its own privacy policy.
• Guesty — our property management system. Guesty stores booking records, guest contact information, and reservation status.
• Vercel — hosts our booking API.
• GitHub Pages — hosts the marketing Site.
• Email providers — to send booking confirmations and receipts.

Booking platforms (when applicable)

If you reach the Property through a third-party booking platform (such as Airbnb or VRBO), that platform is the primary recipient of your booking information and operates under its own privacy policy. This Privacy Policy applies only to direct bookings made through this Site.

Legal and safety

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or valid government request, or when necessary to enforce our Terms of Service, investigate fraud, or protect the safety of guests, neighbors, or the Property.

Business transfers

If Soundview Partners is acquired, merged, or sells substantially all of its assets, guest and booking records may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify affected guests where required.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Payment processing and card data

5. Communications from us

After you book, we will send you transactional messages related to your stay: confirmation, check-in instructions, payment receipts, and any updates to your reservation. These are not marketing messages and you cannot opt out of them without cancelling your booking.

We do not currently send marketing email or text messages to guests. If we begin sending marketing communications in the future, we will provide a clear opt-in and an easy way to unsubscribe. If you have submitted a phone number, we will only contact you by phone or text for reasons directly related to your stay (such as a check-in question or an urgent issue at the Property).

6. Cookies and analytics

The Site uses a small number of functional cookies required for the booking flow (for example, to remember your selected dates while you move through checkout). We may also use lightweight, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

You can disable cookies in your browser. Some parts of the booking flow may not work without them.

7. Data retention

We retain booking records for as long as needed to:

• Provide guest services (before, during, and after your stay).
• Meet tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations (typically 7 years).
• Resolve disputes, chargebacks, or legal claims.

After that, we either delete or anonymize the information.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate.
• Ask us to delete information we no longer need for a booking, tax, or legal purpose.
• Opt out of any non-essential communications (we currently do not send any).

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details at the bottom of this page. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

California residents: if applicable to you, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know and the right to delete. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.

9. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for adults booking a vacation rental. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through the Site, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take the security of your booking data seriously. Card data is handled exclusively by Stripe under PCI DSS.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site or a new booking after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
